Khalid and his wife have been trapped in slavery for over 30 years. They have four children, all forced to work in the kiln instead of going to school.

Khalid’s main job is to feed coal into the furnace to bake bricks, a grueling and dangerous task. One day, his hands were badly burned on the job. Desperate for treatment, he took another loan. Instead of healing, it only deepened his bondage.

Like many, Khalid and his family have no hope of ever breaking free unless someone steps in.

“Please, set us free,” they said through tears.
